The WorthingtonCast™ Fiberglass Column
is Worthington’s most popular selling
column. They will add style and
character to any home or commercial
project. Worthington’s round fiberglass
columns are available plain or fluted
and in varying widths and heights from
6” to 36” in diameter and up to 30’ in
height. The WorthingtonCast™ fiber-glass
columns are available in tapered, with
true architectural proportions, or
non-tapered designs to complement modern
or traditional styles. The WorthingtonCast fiberglass columns are
structural and from 14” diameter and
above can hold up to 20,000 lbs each.
They will not ever rot and are
impervious to insects. Our
WorthingtonCast™ fiberglass columns are
virtually maintenance free with the only
maintenance required is to apply a
quality exterior oil or alkyd base
paint. Worthington offers a wide range
of decorative capitals for both the
tapered and non-tapered fiberglass
columns. These capitals are available in
both a polyurethane for ease of
installation or the FRP capital to
achieve the greatest detail in the
industry. Both the polyurethane and FRP
decorative capitals are load bearing to
ensure a long lasting and structurally
sound fiberglass column.

Worthington offers three types of square
fiberglass and PVC columns in our column
family.
The WorthingtonCast™ square
fiberglass columns are made of FRP
fiberglass and is our strongest square
fiberglass column. It is available in
plain only and has several decorative
capitals to complement the design of
most any project.
The WorthingtonLite™ square
fiberglass column is made of extruded
lightweight fiberglass and is our most
durable square fiberglass column. It is
available in plain, fluted or recessed
panel. What is unique about this square
column is that it is the only adjustable
fluted or recessed panel square
fiberglass column on the market today.
The WorthingtonWrap™ PVC square
column is made of cellular PVC and is
Worthington’s most versatile square
column. The designs shapes and sizes are
endless when it comes to design-ing your
column. Tapered, Non-tapered, raised
panel, recessed panel, fluted and plain
are all available in most any size you
can think of.

In our wood collection, Worthington
offers four types of columns to
complement both an interior or exterior
of any home project.
The Colonial Wood Column is
Worthington’s most economical wood
column. It is a continual tapered wood
column and is constructed of southern
yellow pine. It is available in plain or
fluted and tapered or non-tapered.
The Classical Wood Column is
Worthington’s economical 1/3 – 2/3
tapered economical wood column. The
bottom 1/3 is non-tapered and the top
2/3 is a straight tapered column. It is
available in plain or fluted an is only
available in tapered.
The Stain-Grade Colonial Wood Column
is Worthington’s most economical
stain-grade wood column. It is available
in mahogany, cherry, oak, and hard
maple. They are available in 6”, 8” 10”
and 12” dia-meter in both a plain or
fluted option.
The Architectural Wood Column is
Worthington’s premier wood column. It
follows the designs of classic
architec-ture and truly is an
“architecturally correct column.” It is
available in round or square with plain
or Ionic or Doric fluted designs It is
available from 6” up 48” in diameter. .

The WorthingtonStone™ polymer stone
column is made from highly durable
polyester resin. This stone column is
very unique to the industry. The
composition of this material looks and
feels like cast stone but weighs 50%-60%
less due to the fact that each column is
spun in a rotary cast mold which allows
this stone column to be made hollow. By
adding pigments, Worthington is able to
offer this column in six different
colors: lime-stone, sandstone, off-white,
cream, gray and white in both a textured
or stone finish. This pigment is part of
the column’s composition and is not an
exterior shell. Custom colors and
designs are also available in this
maintenance free stone column.
Worthington offers four load bearing
decorative capitals for the
WorthingtonStone™ polymer stone column
and plain or fluted designs are also
available.
The WorthingtonStone™ column
also complements the WorthingtonStone™
balustrade system.

The WorthingtonWound™ Filament wound
column is a very unique and durable
fiberglass column. It is made of
filament wound fiberglass strands that
are wrapped in two directions: 90 and +
or minus 45 degrees. This process gives
the WorthingtonWound wound fiberglass
column maximum strength while using
minimal amount of materials. The key
advantage to these architectural
fiberglass columns is that the weight of
the column is very minimal but yet is
still has an unbelievable load bearing
capability. A 24” x 20’ WorthingtonWound
column weighs 175 lbs and can still hold
a structural load of 20,000 lbs. These
lightweight fiberglass columns save time
and money during installation.
All of our WorthingtonWound fiberglass
columns follow the 1/3 – 2/3 entasis
concept from the early classical
builders.
The WorthingtonWound is offered in plain
or custom-fluted and tapered or
non-tapered designs. Decorative
polyurethane capitals are available and
backed with our limited lifetime
warranty.
