1.0 GENERAL
1.1 PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION
A. Columns shall be
Worthington WorthingtonStone™ Column
according to their Design No.__________
B. Column shafts shall
be manufactured from a fiber reinforced polymer
stone and marble composite with integral color.
C. Column capitals,
bases, & plinths shall be manufactured from fiber
reinforced polymer stone and marble composite.
D. Capitals and
base/plinths shall be the manufacturers standard for
the size and design indicated.
E. All column
components shall have ____________ (Textured or
Smooth) finish.
F. All column
components shall have ____________ (White,
Limestone, Sandstone, Cream, Off-White, Gray, or
Custom) integral color, or paint grade finish.
1.2 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit Worthington
literature to show column requirements
B. For custom color,
the manufacturer shall supply color sample to match
supplied color example.
1.4 VERIFICATION
OF DESIGN
A. The contractor
shall verify that all components that will actually
be provided for the work of this section will fit
the building’s structural elements and conform to
the visual design criteria indicated on drawings.
B. Any additional
support or backing components shall be provided by
the installing contractor as part of the work of
this section.

3.0 EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
A. Follow
manufacturers detailed installation guidelines.
B. Protect column
finish during storage and installation.
3.2 WARRANTY
A.
Worthington hereby warrants its parts upon the
following conditions against defects in materials
and workmanship for a period of one year after
delivery to Purchaser when used and installed under
normal conditions. THE FORGOING WARRANTY IS IN LIEU
OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY
SET FORTH HEREIN. WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED BY
OPERAION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS. Failure to follow Worthington’s Storage
and Installation instructions will void this limited
warranty. Buyer and installer must inspect each
piece before installation. Buyer and installer
waive all defects which could have been discovered
by reasonable inspection prior to installation.
This includes all misalignments, misfit parts,
dimensional discrepancies and the like. In the
event that any claim is made under the warranty, an
authorized representative of Worthington shall have
the right to inspect the parts and if, in his or her
sole discretion, said representative determines the
part(s) defective, Worthington will REPAIR, REPLACE,
OR REFUND its customer the amount paid to
Worthington for said defective parts. REFUND as
described above. WORTHINGTON SHALL HAVE NO
LIABILITY TO ANY PERSON FIRM OR CORPORATION
WHATSOEVER FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
such as but not limited to labor, finishing cost,
parts damaged by freight carriers, freight charges,
installation, lost profits, lost sale or the like.
NO PURCHASER MAY TAKE ANY DEDUCTION CREDIT OR SETOFF
AGAINST ANY AMOUNT OWED WOTHINGTON OR MAKE ANY
CHARGEBACK WITHOUT EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT BY
WORTHINGTON. |
