Secondly, polymer stone balustrade systems are
offered in many standard colors. The six standard
colors that are available in our polymer stone
balustrade system can be achieved by using pigments
mixed in with resins and fiberglass. Custom colors
can be achieved by changing the pigments that are
mixed into the formula. If you submit to Worthington
the color sample that you would like your
balustrades to match, we will create a sample piece
and resubmit it back to you for your approval.
Worthington has created many custom balustrade
systems for several of its clients.
Lastly, the polymer stone balustrade system will out
last any wood product available. Worthington’s
polymer stone balustrades are impervious to termites
and insects and you certainly do not have to worry
about them rotting or deteriorating over time. Also,
painting will never be required.
Despite the processes involved in creating our
polymer stone balustrades they still cost and weigh
much less than actual cast stone balustrade systems.
Each individual baluster is hollow and injected with
polyurethane to give each baluster a solid feel.
This polyurethane holds the steel pipe in the center
of the baluster in place and assures its strength.
The hollow top and bottom rails of this balustrade
system are installed with spring loaded pens that
add to the strength of the complete system. After
each part is cast, the piece is sand-blasted to give
the balustrade system its texture finish.
